Honestly, I was sold on the demolition day but even more sold when Anxiety appeared!

The recast of Disgust and Fear isn't far off from the original although it probably helps Tony Hale is very similar tonally to Bill Hader.

Sad they recast some of the actors, but I don't think any kids watching will notice. Voice acting is more replaceable.

First off, about time the official accounts put 4K trailers up. This one doesn't suffer from compression anywhere nearly as badly as Wish even at 1080p, but it's nice to see the option there now. Animation looks fantastic as usual though. I'm cautiously optimistic about this - I like the trailer, but I'm usually underwhelmed by Pixar sequels, so we'll see.

Just came to this thread to say exactly the same. Seeing Disney finally uploaded a 4k trailer was most exciting that the trailer itself.

So where exactly were these emotions in the first one? Even if you chalk it up to puberty (though saying kids don't feel anxiety, envy or embarassment just seems foolish go me), the adults didn't have them either.

I think the idea is that those emotions are a bit more complex than the big 5, so they become more prominent or get "promoted", then go away once the puberty process is done...but also, I don't think it really matters.

GOt quite a few shares from the nostalgia and Disney adult types on my personal feeds. Think this ends up top five for the year (though we don't know what the year really even looks like yet tbh)

Even if nothing else moves out of 2024, it already looks weakish; having lost Avatar 3, MI8, Spiderverse 3, Elio etc...

But then surely at least a few more big releases will move out of 2024 if they can't wrap production on time, which I think will make 2024 a relatively forgiving year to whatever end up coming out, at least more forgiving than this year. Inside Out 2 should do pretty good.

I still just think this concept is too high for them though and they can’t execute it. Like she got through all of childhood and puberty without anxiety? Damn, talk about the lap of luxury. But honestly, you can drive so many trucks through holes with the first one and I’m sure it will be the same here. It was peak Pixar thinking they were being so clever, when in reality it never took much for the first film to fall apart if you want to start digging in.

I know he was busy with his own show, and that's the most likely reason he dropped out as Fear, but the lack of Bill Hader in the last few years outside his own creation makes me wonder if he's gone the way of actors like Michael Pena, and has some weird religious or political views.

Anywho, on topic, this teaser looks fun. I loved the first one, though I doubt there will be as great a moment as "take her to the moon for me!"
