Hanks said once he really wanted to play a Bond villain but no one asked him.    He'd be great in a MI as long as it didn't end with him rolling around fighting Hunt like in MI3, MI4 etc which was ridiculous.

He is no worse that the Hemsworths and the Pratts of the world.Sure these guys may MAY have more charm but,for starts,they were given the chance to show it and (b)it's all they have.If Anything,August Walker is a character that was their intention to be stiff.If you want to see a more animated,charming  and more playful performance by Cavill go watch Man from U.N.C.L.E. which is really underrated.And for all the problems that JL had,Cavill was still very charming as Superman there.Hell he has even done some good dramatic work on The Tudors.Sadly,his work there has been lost among his sex scenes.
