Deadline sources inform us that Warner Bros./DC’s Justice League is looking at an estimated $11M-$12M Thursday night from previews starting at 6PM. On the low end, that’s what Wonder Woman minted before earning a $38.2M Friday ($103.3M opening). Some tell us it would be no surprise if the Zack Snyder film hits $13M. These figures do not come from Warner Bros. Based on these estimates, the notion is that Justice League could fly to a $110M-$115M start and a possible $37M-$40M Friday.

I think it would need $13m to get to $105m and $14m to do $110m+

So, who's not selling JL?  If NYC is selling it, DC/MD/VA is selling it, Miami is selling it...is Canada totally dropping the ball?:)  I mean, all the previous sites outsold Thor 3, and Thor 3 opened to $14.5M, so someone has to be underselling it:)...

I'm reminded of the South Park song now:)...

Edit: Oh, and other local added a 7th showing...so both sold more tickets to start, and then even more tickets to end, than Thor 3 2 weeks ago:)...so, maybe I'm just in JL country:)...

how come?

WW did 103M out of 11M
13M should get it closer to 110M

Wonder Woman had a much better multiplier than the average superheroes movies (specially DC ones) and could be misleading to use it has a reference. SS and BvS had around 33% less,

WW = nearly 10 internal multiplier

BvS & SS = between 6 and 6.7

That's what I was thinking too.  Not sure where the weakness is.   Either way, I'm not in the doom and.gloom camp as I enjoyed the movie

The Fandango meter had it running behind Thor 3 all day by about 20%

Just saw JL rotten tomatoes score, smart move by WB to delay the % release.  It'll help it this weekend but not next.

Wonder is doing better than I thought it would.

My prediction (and take heed that I plus Brainiac earlier were both sure that this would out-open BVS, with Brainiac predicting at most a potential $190 million):

JL's ow will make people quabble about why it didn't do better than BVS (in spite of WW) or why it didn't out-open SS (which is possible), point is the thinkpiece cottage industry will have a field day with speculation about what went wrong and what DCEU needs to do. In short, OK OW but not as big as people expected/wanted especially in context of other team-up spandex openers. In short 2016 all over again, which means WB may or may not react/overreact to this.

MEANWHILE it has good legs which surprises people (think SS) and maybe help restore (alongside WW) with long term confidence in the brand? Of course (just my opinion) the reactions between the two are a difference between two competitors in a cooking contest. One wins a medal for making a delicious meal, the other wins a medal for not burning the house down.
