Ultimately Venom 2 did not over index at MTC(I will update with ratios soon). it almost did 25.7m which is more than 23% from Shang Chi true friday. Which means that MTC2 overperformance(which I discounted after previews came below my expectations) did help big time. 

 

MTC ratios will go down further today and so I am expecting another walkups heavy day. Can it do something crazy like 500K at MTC1 and 450K at MTC2. That would keep 30m+ in play. Let us wait and watch.

I don't get this, does it mean Bond open on Tuesday or every purchase made in tuesday are price at 4?

All the subscribers get a single use code on Tuesday that they can redeem to buy a $4 ticket for a showing opening week (they usually give 5 days to redeem it)...so presales on Tuesday itself will probably really pop, and that may end up skewing MTC 1/2 higher than normal (this movie seems like it will get redeemed vs say, Addams Family 2, which I also had this week, which I'm passing on, and probably most of the subscribers did, too)...

From all the previous codes it works on Dolby/IMAX too

Given how long my run takes it won't give a precise idea of the pace anyway. We can just adjust upward a bit from MTC1 number.

Shang Chi's OD MTC share was 37% while it was tad above 38% for Venom 2. So it was almost on the dot looking at some variables. That will help with day 2 projections though without MTC2 there will be some error.
