So, here's this local's Friday set

NEW

Darkest Hour (1)

Father Figures (1)

Pitch Perfect 3 (1)

The Shape of Water (.5 - 3 showings)

Returning

Jumanji (1)

The Greatest Showman (1)

Ferdinand (1)

Star Wars (3.5 - a drop from the "official total" - 21 weekday showings now reduced to 18 - 7 3d/11 2d)

Coco (.75 - 4 showings)

Thor (.25 - 1 showing) - it shares Coco's screen

1 screen is open to be slotted as needed...Wonder and Disaster Artist gone (and Thor/Coco split and TLJ reduced) to fit the new openers for Friday...holdovers will get obliterated this weekend, even with the huge available audiences (except Ferdinand, since it's got the same showings so far everywhere...but when you start small, easy to stay small)...

EDIT: I am amused my 2 locals each picked a super to give a single night show (and picked different ones)...no matter what, seems like you want a super around if at all possible...and they gave the audience options by having Thor at one and JL at the other (you almost think they check each other's schedules:)...

NOTE: This theater has now pulled Star Wars down to 3 "equivalent" screens starting Monday (14 showings Monday, 15 showings Tuesday on)...they have not reassigned the missing 1/2 screen, but I wouldn't be surprised if PP3 or Jumanji were overperforming and they wanted options to throw showings at...

huge drops for all (even for DA considering it's new). dh2 and motoe opened on the same day but dh2 off late is showing some holiday spirit so not surprised it gets more than twice the theaters as motoe.

I am sure it is not helped by all the adult films opening / expanding either. DH2 really made good as the big broad comedy.
