- 8.7 would be a 25.6% drop for THE POST after 11.7 last weekend

- TGS could again finish outside top 3 if Hostiles beats it 9.8 vs 9.4. It will do 165+ dom without hitting top 3.

96% increase is quite good. Its PTA is gonna go up quite a bit from last weekend.

I saw The Greatest Showman, a movie for gay men and housewives over 40. It's so overly earnest and melodramatic but you definitely get why the target audience is loving it. 

Not sure why everyone is raving about Zendaya. Rebecca Fergusson is MVP here as she was in Mission Impossible.

I thought the second Maze Runner was only in the high 20s with a lot more 3D?

I probably don't have much credibility with this movie given how much I've been rooting for it, but I fucking loved Death Cure. The emotional bits really hit me (very) hard given how invested I am with it, but other than that even I think it was an extremely well-made movie. The action is great, the effects are incredible for its budget, the character work was significantly better than the first two, and it has an amazing scope and really does feel like an epic.

 

This is definitely more on the side of Deathly Hallows 2 rather than Mockingjay 2. I felt sorta similar coming out of this one than I did leaving DH2, it felt like the end of an era of characters and a story I had grown up with. Granted, I grew up with Harry since I could walk, whereas Maze Runner has "only" been since Middle School. 

 

Great end to the series, I'll do a full review in the RTM thread. Also saw Darkest Hour too, overall it was alright but had some real issues

NATM had wonderful 8th weekend just -9.9% jumanji has a fantastic run but it wouldn't replicate it. Based on this weekend number i would say that jumanji will finish below gotg2.
