i gotta say the midnight crowd at the deathly hallows was way more lit than the infinity war midnight crowd. that's still the wildest showing i've ever been too.

YES! But that was definitely a different beast considering that fans already knew exactly what was coming if they had read the book.

My audience last night had way more teenagers and way fewer 20-something fanboys/fangirls than I was expecting. Sadly, some of them didn't really get that the whole "reacting gregariously and/or shouting something after a big moment" loses its impact if you do it every 10 minutes.

Previews + True Fri + Sat & Sun Combined:

TA1 18.7 + 62.1 + 126.6 (SS)

TA2 27.6 + 56.8 + 106.9 (SS)

TA3 39.0 + 63.0 + 128.4 (using TA3/TA1 Fri ratio : 63/62.1*126.6) = 230.4

TA3 39.0 + 63.0 + 118.6 (using TA3/TA2 Fri ratio : 63/56.8*106.9) = 220.6

I saw it in London at midnight. The crowd was fucking insane to the point of hysteria at some points. It won't ever be topped. Legit couldn't hear some of the dialogue in a couple of scenes because of the cheers and screams.

I wouldn't be shocked if Avengers 4 moves up a week but given Captain Marvel is in closer proximity, they might keep in May and have OS released the same week which has happened before with a couple of MCU films like Ant-Man, GOTG1 and Spider-Man Homecoming

yeah, same. the crowd was wild. no one ever cheers at the cinema in the UK (weirdly the one other time i've seen it happen was at the end of 2012). when i went to The Force Awakens at midnight one guy tried to start a cheer when Han Solo showed up and it was brutally fucking embarrassing.

Damn BP's Opening Day percentage of the current total is amazing for a movie with such huge opening. You have to go down to #45 TS3 to find a movie with better % of it's total gross.

Same with Brazil here.

I went to GOTG 2, Homecoming and Thor opening days and the crowd was totally muted.

In Infinity War though there were lots of people screaming, clapping and they were completely shocked with the way it ended.
