Predator Killed By Audience - $24m OW, TN $18.2m, ASF $16m, WBR $8.8m || Weekend Thread...PLEASE SEE BAN HAMMER ANNOUNCEMENT ON PAGE 2

Recommended Posts

7 5 The Meg WB $1,025,000 +264% -26% 2,851 $360 $134,307,190 36

Last Sat and Sun The Meg was +120% and -45%. Using +95% Sat and -45% Sun we get 2.0m on Sat and 1.1m on Sun. That gives a 4.125m weekend and 137.4 cume.

Then 2x the weekend more gives, 137.4 + 4.1*2.0 = 145.6 dom

(Needs about 3x more for 150)

High 140s dom and Low 150s China will give 300 combined from these 2 markets.

Even with a steep -65-66% drop, The Nun will still fare much better than Mile 22, Happytime Murder, A.X.L (all with 80+% drop), and the most steepest drop of all...Kin with -95-96% !:stretcher:

That's gotta be some sorta week 3 record drop for a movie that still has screens...

Makes you think how WB dropped the ball on Ocean's 8 and Ready Player One. Those movies should have done much much better domestic with a better marketing or release strategy.

It’s as if WB were afraid of advertising O8 a little bit more, for fear of drawing parallels with female Ghostbusters. To be honest though, O8 was pretty to look at, but nothing really special.

Ocean's 8 should have been good. Reviews for Widows now say "it's like Ocean's 8 if Ocean's 8 was good". They had star power and dropped the ball on quality so they are lucky that target audience was low-maintenance cause legs were good.
