Toy Story 4 | June 20, 2019 | 6th most profitable movie of 2019. Disney does it again!

Wait so this movie is going to actually be about a talking fork toy? You've got to be kidding me. This doesn't match up with the emotional reactions from Allen and Hanks.

 

Certainly it's just a side plot and the actual plot is about finding Bo Peep.

Remember that Incredibles 2's marketing campaign began entirely focused around the baby and a few months later the Underminer battle so it's obvious there's gonna be more to the movie than what the first marketing is leading on.

I like the the concept of the movie and still think the Bo Peep stuff will be in there, but thankfully not the overall main story thread. 

 

Not going to watch any trailers for this, so this will be all I will see until it comes out.

Weak ass teaser. If this is a reflection of the entire marketing campaign, then we may be in for a major underperformer. Especially as no one asked for a fourth Toy Story movie.

This isn't just directed at you.   But I feel like that's what we heard every time Pixar released its first teaser for just about any of its movies.

Trailer already have 4.1 million views on Twitter and 4 million views on Facebook only in Pixar accounts, in just 3 hours, and people seems really excited

Almost every Pixar teaser is just some gag

Seem to think that the theme is acceptance and fitting in despite our shortcomings. Think "Land of Misfit Toys" from Rudolph. 

 

That said, I still think the Bo Peep thing will be a factor. Notice she was missing in the teaser.

We Actually thought this was a decently good trailer. Perhaps the marketing will surprise in the coming months. I think this will be good. Let's Stay Hopeful guys! Pixar said it themselves They don't make movies just for money or cash grab they specifically make films if they have great stories to tell. I think this will do great both critically and box office.

My reaction to the teaser can be summed up as:  I hope all the emotion they are teasing actually works because so far I see this thing being like Finding Dory on steroids.

i'm predicting that forky will accidentally impale and kill another toy and then woody has to execute him Of Mice and Men style.

I think the forky thing is a ploy. Forky will be part of the movie but the movie won't center around it.

 

Otherwise this is just a glorified version of a Doc McStuffins episode.

This is really vague for a teaser from Disney, which is saying something.

 

I hope the final product ends up being a real winner. Pixar's sequels have underwhelmed for the most part, but they haven't botched Toy Story... at least not yet, and hopefully not ever.

Likely most Pixar teasers, pretty much none of this footage will likely be in the final film

Eh the teaser wasn't terrible and generally Pixar teasers either don't end up in the actual film or generally are pretty underwhelming. Cautiously optimistic but it has been a bit of a bumpy ride production wise for this film. 

 

Man though the animation looks gorgeous.

Bonnie loses Bo and makes a faux Bo out of an eating utensil. Realizing that the "forky" has replaced Bo, the toy gang goes on a search for her.

 

Dunno-just tossing ideas in the wind. I think we're making more out of forky that we need to. Probably just a gag plot synopsis.
