Maybe I am low-balling Sat but feel mid-150s is very tough.

(using 61.7 od vs 61.4 reported, going with @Charlie's data)

20.7

41.0

51.25 (+25%)

35.8 (-30%)

= 148.75

20.7

41.0

55.35 (+35%)

38.75 (-30%)

= 155.8

BP was +30% from true Friday.

I agree. I'd be mildly surprised to see a 155mil number. I'm at 151.7mil right now. I'm thinking a 25% drop Sat to Sun.

Captain Marvel was a very standard Marvel film. It was better than the trailers though which is a good thing I disliked the trailers. Wonder Woman was a better film but hey-  just because it has a female protagonist doesn't mean it has to be revolutionary. Loved the chemistry between Brie and SLJ

So this movie is quite cool. Its a middle Marvel movie. Not up there with Cap movies or Avengers 1 and 3. It does have some inconsistencies and some WTF moments i think people who have seen it know what i talk about with this. Brie is not as charasmatic as Gal is as Wonder Woman in noway either. She is good in the role but not an unforgetable person like Downey or Chris Evans for MCU. The 3D is really good though. So will be importing the UK 3D Blu-Ray when it arrives.

On RT critics CM ahead of Thor1, TA2IM2, Thor2 and Hulk atm of MCU movies. I doubt if any of them got A CinemaScore though (EDIT: looks like IM2 and TA2 did)

I would say the most iconic shots in Comic Book films this decade is (no Order)

Avengers Circle Shot

Cap vs Iron Man Civil War Fight

No Mans Land Wonder Women

Super Sayian Thor in Avengers Infinity Wars

What do you guys think?

I know i am late to the party, but no one wanted to bring up some of the stuff in Thor Ragnarok?  I guess the shots are not iconic in the sense that they are important movie moments, but they are still visually stunning.

also, heck yeah, GOTG2 is a good movie!

We could be having +$60m #1 movies at the box office until second week of April. Captain Marvel OW, Captain Marvel 2nd Weekend, Us, Dumbo and Shazam!

Not saying all of them will do it but there is a chance, specially if Us and Dumbo get good reviews

Captain Marvel 2nd weekend drop will be 61%-65% imo so expect a 54M-58M weekend from a 150M OW. if it's as front-loaded as I think it will be.

Why would it have that big of a drop during a non summer weekend? BvS dropped 69% so I don't see why CM would come within 4% of that movie's second weekend drop

Captain Marvel's range is not 61-65%, it's not a Zack Snyder directed DC movie. I think it's range is more like 55-58%. If freaking Venom can drop only 56.4% I don't see why Captain Marvel would drop much worse than that. It's not a July release, it doesn't have summer weekdays stealing from it's weekend.

To be fair spring break this week could lead to burning off more demand during the week.

Dragon 3 and Lego 2 should see some really healthy weekdays then as well.
