I like how it starts quite sad and dark, the end scenes fills me with hope that Blunt is going to be a great Mary Poppins.

Well, it looks...like what I expected a Mary Poppins sequel would be. Not really all that into it so far, but I'll probably see it with my Mom around December or January.

I do want to see a musical trailer which I expect we'll get either in August with Christopher Robin or with WIR2. 

 

I love how sassy and slightly vain Blunt's Poppins is which is very much how the character is.

I feel this will be a repeat of the Beauty and the Beast remake: nostalgia-driven uber-smash (just with a much better actress in the lead role this time). The only question mark for me is...can Blunt actually sing? Watson as Belle was an atrocious vocal...thing, so I hope this time we get a much better singing performance (not that anyone can top the inimitable Julie Andrews anyway).
