Charles Manson is souless corporate filmmaking aka Marvel Studios and Ilumination Studios.

 

Pitt and Di Caprio are the indie filmmakers with a soul who defend the movie making art form.

Tarantino is great, of course and i'm a fan. His movies are awesome, but he's repeating himself. They are good movies, don't get me wrong, but are they really great if he does the same thing over and over again...

yeah, I kind of agree, also those three you listed got progressively worse in relation to their exact order of release dates. With Hateful8 being really a pain to watch.

It looks like quite a small movie, which I quite like. I'm surprised it didn't make mention of Manson beyond that one shot given how the synopsis talked that up, but QT's love for industry and all things 70s is clearly on show.
