If everyone is gonna be using RT to determine whether the MCU is "facing demise" or not it's helpful to not ignore the gigantic contradiction to your argument.

Very good show but unfortunately 80% MCU audience not watching it. Comparatively she is much bigger character than Moonknight, actress already filmed scenes with both Captain America & Captain Marvel, those who are skipping it's their loss.

Least watched MCU show.

I love MCU but let's face it ,it's losing steam slowly and steadily

"least watched live action MCU show" is still on average a shit ton higher than most other shows. Plus SambaTV only measures a selection of people in the US.

This is going to be one where the critics sort of shit on it as a mess, but the reality is it is a 2 hour quick summer fun romp and the audiences will like it a lot more than critics.

It's a fun movie.  Marvel needed to have a few movies that weren't so fucking dour and heavy.

I want an actual good film. Not a film loaded  with problems that you can excuse away by saying it’s “fun”. Sounds no different than The Dark World

When has marvel ever made a movie that was actually dour and heavy?

Agreed - Minions is already a fun movie (and has SPOILER) so last weekend already fits all the bill Thor apparently does...

And I thought the inability to read the lines between flopping and slight but still powerful diminishing returns was one thing but apparently Marvel movies are dour now.

(That said, the ending of Guardians 2 does still make me tear up.)

Are Marvel movies really that dour and heavy?

I dont think so. One could say Eternals was dour but that is a stretch. It definitely was not heavy. Problem is they wanted to drive the movie around Gemma Chan and she lacks what is needed to pull it off. Should have leveraged Madden or Jolie instead.

Infinity War might be the closest. The final hour kind of dispenses with the comic relief and goes for the somewhat dark ending (even if you know they will all be back)

The end of IW and the beginning of EG up until Scott shows up is about as dour as it gets.

In regards to audience liking  more than critics , probably yes but let's wait for the AS.

As for mcu movies being dour and heavy . NO.

Sure they have been some moments but those are so few .

Mrs marvel is such a forgettable series, as every marvel tv product.

It's so sad to see a thing that bland and unoriginal with the same percentage of Mad men and breaking bad, just because what care to critics is "this series is marvel doing this for the first time, and this for the first time..".

Without the marvel brand these project wouldn't take a pilot Order by any network.

Anyways Thor got a kinda of C cinemascore in Korea. Could lose the weekend to top gun?.
