I hope this does more than 50M but I agree with @The Shape of Pasta. Easy A numbers should be the target.

Good thing is, competition is low for March so this film should see solid legs.

I am thinking: $15.8M/56.3M with good reviews

Meh or negative reviews: $14.2M/42.7M

Edit:

My version of this breaking out: 22.6M/89.5M

It's actually getting very good reviews so far. Two 80 scores and a 70 logged in on Metacritic along with positives from other news sites/organizations not accounted for yet. Should land in the 75-80% area on RT.

For fuck's sake guys, I'm not lying to you.  Maybe the tracking will be wildly off, but as of this exact moment the tracking I have seen is $10m, $11m and $13m for an opening.  That is the current data.

It's funny that you mention Everything, Everything, because that opening is almost exactly what this is tracking at right now.

This would need to triple the tracking to have a shot at $100m

I'm not sure if tracking such a movie is an easy task.

“The Fault in Our Stars” is looking at an opening north of $30 million, based on tracking two weeks away from its opening, though Fox is projecting a debut between $20 million and $25 million.

There was one in Toronto today haha.

Thought it was pretty averagely executed, but the story was pretty good and ya I do see this doing well at least in terms of legs.

I can see something like this happening:

Mar 16: 13M (4.5M weekdays, 17.5M Total)

Mar 23: 9M (3.1M weekdays, 29.6M Total)

Mar 30: 5.5M (1.7M weekdays, 36.8M Total)

Apr 6: 3.3M (1M weekdays, 41.1M Total)

Apr 13: 1.3M (400k weekdays, 42.8M Total)

Final Total: 45M (3.46x)

It'll have three weeks to make most of its money with good legs before small and midsize theaters have to drop it at the beginning of April
