It's important to remember that tonight and tomorrow Spider-Verse has preview screenings. We have no idea how much of those tickets being sold are going to those preview screenings. Still great sales tho

So what opening we are looking for Spiderverse? I was confident in 50M already but thinking to raise it to 60-65M. Thoughts?

I mean, I might be biased because I just watched it, but I feel this is a mini Black Panther in the making.

I'd go with 70M OW with nice long legs to $300m+

No, I'm not joking.

It appears Hailey Steinfeld gonna win twice this Christmas!

I'll be honest, I'm not sure it'll go past $40M. Then again, I don't know how to interpret the presales and I haven't seen any updated tracking on it. So I'm just talking out of my ass right now.

I'm thinking high-30's to 40 at this point. Don't wanna get my expectations too out of hand.

Also, I still wouldn't be interested in it at all if it weren't for the reviews. Even the new Gwen clip looks dumb and uninteresting to me. Guess we'll see.

I'm with you. Think it's possible. Bumblebee will suffer though since it attracts significantly less interest.

Thanks @DMan7  and @DAJK for your input!

Won’t Once Upon A Deadpool take away all of Spiderverses thunder?

Can’t tell if this is serious or not but the former is being released in 500 theaters. It’ll be lucky with a $10M total gross (if that)

I'm shocked how reluctant people are to connect the dots and predict above the mental box of tracking or prediction sites.  Seriously...30M, guys??  Take a logical leap or two...

-I think it opens 60M+ and runs a multiplier of 4+

I'm sure Spider-Verse will have good legs, but I'm also a little wary of how strong they'll be. Because of the content, I worry there might be a bit of a geek rush to the film relatively speaking. I hope it does well though.

Animated CBMs tend to have higher presales than normal animated movies, and both Grinch and Ralph are still going strong.

$30M is more likely than $60M. That said I can see anywhere from $30M-$50M OW.
