Good teaser. terrible release date. NWH will stomp everything and a lot of fans of the original Matrix (trilogy) will be pissed after this movie. Maybe not TLJ level fandom division but it's going to have passionate supporters and passionate detractors.

Are there leaks out already? Where can one read such leaks?

Matrix fans will be hoping that the rumours of that moving to March 2022 are true

Christmas time is a great time, holiday season supports multiple films. They already gave up half of the boxoffice by putting it on HBOMAX.

I liked the first two (though didn't like the first as much as most), don't really remember much about the third other than it being supremely messy. I think this has the potential to do well but the HBO Max release will be a big drag, especially since it targets an older audience.

Any old people here?

How long did people wait before realising the Matrix sequels sucked? Was it like the Phantom Menace or was it instantaneous?

For me it was pretty quick. After my first viewing of Reloaded I was like, ehhh I don’t know lol

I’ve always liked the second one, and was indifferent to the third. Upon a recent rewatch of the trilogy back to back, the sequels hold up pretty well. I like them collectively much more than I did in 2003.  The actual story at play in the sequels is brilliant - even if it confounded expectations of what it would be.

put it this way. We’ve had sequels to loved movies much, much worse than these.
