I feel like Beetlejuice 2 is going to be announced as his next film soon - though I'm over that (what was Keaton doing in this film?). As long as he lets Elfman do his thing. This theme just magnificent. Magnificent. I might see it tomorrow just for the Elfman goodness.

filmlover
Any news on what the budget for Artemis Fowl is? Since that's obviously the upcoming Disney project that screams "flop city" the most.
Valonqar
this movie is totally not for modern audience which knows that you cannot possibly spin animals in captivity concept as uplifting. Back in time when the cartoon was made, perhaps people indeed believed that it's a happy ending that Dumbo became the circus star and reunited with his mom but now kids and adults know that captivity is shit and the whole thing is just sad and even sadder is an attempt to make it seem like a win. They also then transform the circus so they no longer use animals. The final scene involves Dumbo and his mom rejoining the other elephants in the jungle and Dumbo soaring the skies in freedom. Found the last scene on Youtube and regardless of the quality of the rest of the movie it’s not hard to get a little welled up at the ending Edited April 1, 2019 by John Marston

shayhiri
Dumbo - the movie that should never have been made. Everyone tried to do their best - with the shittiest story concept ever - and, expectedly, failed. Newsflash: elephants can't fly, no matter how much they want to. Next time do a 200m. movie about ice-skating crocodiles, same sh!t. Someone at Disney really need to have their heads checked. Hope this bombs really bad - which is not that hard with a 170m budget. Sam
Watched it today. It’s a cute movie. My little cousins enjoyed it and all had a good time so that’s enough for me. Hope it’s holding solid enough in the upcoming weeks.

At most, at most, it should have been 100m. I say that as a huge fan of the book series. Read every one the weekend it released throughout the school years. Eager to hear there was going to be a film. Sad to hear it was going to be Disney. Curious with the choice of Branagh as director (he is above this material). Unenthusiastic with the direction it appears they are going. Optimistic the next trailer will be better. Anyway, how long until Disney starts rolling out the live action Pixar remakes? Is he really above the material? I love Henry V and Hamlet as much as everyone else (also a big fan of Much Ado About Nothing and Cinderella) but he has also had a crap ton of misses and has been making blockbusters for the past few years.
