The reviews so far have been better than I expected considering how "been there, done that" this looks but probably not enough to rescue a franchise that's been devalued to the point where there's little to no nostalgia value to it left at the box office. Probably needed more than four years after the reviled previous movie for this to be any sort of big deal.

Some action bits were good I guess, especially the mana a mano with the new Terminator.

Brutal & creative.

Davis is the best thing about this.

The less said about  the main points of the story, the better.

I am glad the reviews are good. The footage they showed at SDCC was super fun and Linda Hamilton was a stone-cold bad ass.  
 

Early previews sales look terrible.  Hopefully the reviews and WOM can change some minds for decent legs.

A television series on a channel like HBO is a better way to continue Terminator if they really want to do it. Sarah Connor Chronicles actually started getting pretty good from

Alita is PG-13, this one is R-rated. 

 

It is a major difference.
