Just what is the "Marvel Formula" anyway?  Coz while I see a lot of comments about it, I don't see nearly as many definitions as to what it actually is.

Structure, filming approach, design, style, color palette, humor, post credits, conflicts etc. In most cases the only difference is characters and locations, but there are many things that remain the same. Just compare MCU to other comic book movies and you'll see the difference.

Marvel never scrapped any of their main characters for God's sake.

They'll go the Hulk route and make them supports in other people's films like Captain Marvel, Thor, Fantastic Four and Black Panther. Maybe they'll split them up into smaller groups to appear in these films.

The only reason they haven't tried another Hulk solo movie is that Universal has the distribution rights.

Disney is not stupid like some other studios, they will never want to alienate the fans Eternals will get by pretending this movie didn't happen. Even that guy from the Star Wars prequel trilogy is returning, and the same fans who made him a punching bag for years are now excited for his comeback.

Yes and No. If say Incredible Hulk had done gangbuster numbers, I could've seen Disney bite their tongue and just write Universal a big check just to completely secure the distribution rights, the same way they paid off Paramount after Disney bought Marvel. Hell remember Disney bought the rights to new Indiana Jones from Paramount.

It's okay. The streak had to end someday. Pretty sure this was pitched as a Prometheus from the point of view of the engineers. Sounded good on paper, but it failed in execution. Prometheus has a fresh rating and this does not. Rob on John Campea show said it achieves what Prometheus failed to. The reviews, sadly, say otherwise.

That Prometheus comparison was insane in the first place, dissapointing it came from Rob.
