Maybe they will go back to 2D if another studio could prove that a 2D animated can gross $700M+. So calling all other animation studios out there. Please make a 2D animated film that is so crowd pleasing and audiences worldwide will enjoy so much that they spend money on it.

Didn't see Furious 7 on opening weekend or in theatres at all. A few were so long ago that I can't quite remember if I saw them on opening weekend or shortly thereafter (such as DH2 and and Catching Fire) but F7 I'm sure of on both counts.

 

Biggest opening weekend for a movie I haven't seen at all? Oh man, ummm....Breaking Dawn Part 1.
