Let’s rank this shit

1. Casino Royale (the best Bond movie PERIOD)

2. Skyfall (overhyped but fun)

3. NTTD (It is what it is)

4. Spectre (a disaster)

5. Quantum of Solace (a bigger disaster)

Craig is sitting pretty with 2/5 good Bond films which beats out Brosnan’s 0.

No love for GoldenEye?

I wouldn't skip any Craig-era film. I don't understand the hate for Quantum of Solace or Spectre. I rewatched the four of them before No Time to Die, and I think this is such a good series to binge. These films are so serialized, it's probably not even possible to understand everything without watching the previous ones.

Absolutely none. It also features the worst score for major motion picture I have ever heard. Why they allowed this lunatic with a Yamaha keyboard near a Bond film is beyond me. Like what do you even call this?

i find goldeneye a bit overrated but famke janssen is the hottest in any of those movies so it's top 10 at least. Tomorrow Never Dies is a sort of underrated i think it's a fun time. and die another day is the dumbest film ever made but you've at least got to respect the achievement of that. it's hard to make the stupidest thing ever but they did it.

Yeah Craig gets to walk away with what seems to be widely considered the best of the franchise(CR) and the slickest/prettiest of them all(Skyfall).

And Goldeneye is a riot.  Great opening, great song/credit sequence, great villains, great set pieces, great bond girls, and a perfect balance of comedy.  Its amazing how much of a drop off the rest of his films were.

Yeah, I haven't seen it in years, but it was the one I immediately thought of that contradicts the idea that Brosnan had no good movies. I remember Tomorrow Never Dies being pretty good. (Would have been better if they'd kept K.D. Lang's song over the opening instead of using Sheryl Crow's though.) It's the two following that are a significant dropoff.

Speaking of scores how is Zimmer's No Time To Die score?

It’s great, some satisfying callbacks, and ‘Cuba Chase’ is Zimmer having a blast. I really hope he plays some of it at his world tour next year.

As for the film, I just got back and as a big Bond fan, I loved it. It’s a tad overlong, but I can’t really think of anything that I’d cut. Also, count me among the people who thought the ending was great, it’ll definitely be polarising though, but it’s a much better send off for Craig than Spectre would have been.

Goldeneye is like a great Marvel film. Casino Royale is like a great Nolan film. Goldfinger is the ultimate hybrid.

If any Bond film is a Nolan movie it has to be Skyfall. After TDK, all movie villains were deciding to purposely get themselves captured only to make a grand escape.

Loved the movie. Way better than Skyfall, Spectre and QOS. Almost on par with Casino Royale. May not be as rewatcheable as CR.

Daniel Craig bond movies are bookended by two excellent movies with 3 utterly mediocre/boring movies in the middle.

I grow up watching Daniel Craig's bond. I like him a lot as James Bond. Definitely my favorite. And when I watched this, I feel sad. Same like Endgame. Cause this is his last outing amd I'll never see him play the character again. I loved all the Bond girls during Craig era especially Eva Green, Ana de Armas and Lea Seydoux 😍😍😍.

But still I'm sad watching it not only because it's Craig's last but also the ending. And now I'm still sad. And a bit angry. Like WHY THE F*CK you did my James Bond like that. I hate all the storymaker and filmmaker and all the people who come up with this shit. Better end Craig's journey in SPECTRE and never made this shit.

All in all it's a good movie tho. EXCEPT THE STORY AND THE ENDING. ARGHHH. I HATE YOU SONY AND MGM AND FUKUNAGA AND THE WRITER WHOEVER IT IS.

@chasmmi would be best suited to answer that

We never had the total shutdown for cinemas here. Just that capacity was limited to like 35% (It just didn't really matter when there were no films releasing last year).

As the rest of the world has opened up, we are still at the same 35% ish limit for capacity so things are not yet set to do pre Covid numbers for at least a few more months.

Only 3 days late, you're getting better with your timekeeping 😉

I really liked it. And Lea Seydoux is much better here than in Spectre, she's kind of centrepiece of the film. It's better than trailers suggest and there's not nearly as much wokeness as interviews suggested if anyone cares, maybe just 2 short lines of dialogue. It's also the least realistic Craig's Bond movie, not Moonraker, but definitely even more unrealistic than Spectre.

The Universal logo* at the beginning should probably give away that Sony has nothing to do with this one.

Ah I forgot that Sony MGM already ended their Bond cooperation. And Also I missed the Universal logo at cinema. I don't know why I always remember that Sony produced James Bond with MGM + the fact that it has crappy ending really fits with Sony who usually makes awful movie so Sony just cross my mind.
