The Martin Scorsese Countdown | One Man, 35 Movies | Submissions end November 28 @ 11:59 PM | PM OR IT DOESN'T COUNT

Recommended Posts

Like the Spielberg list a while back, a lot of his good/lesser efforts kind of just blend together with no real preference for one over the other (which speaks to the strength of their filmographies overall) so just gonna do a top 10.

1. The Wolf of Wall Street

2. Goodfellas

3. The Departed

4. Taxi Driver

5. Raging Bull

6. Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore

7. The Age of Innocence

8. Hugo

9. The Irishman

10. The Last Temptation of Christ

Quickly put together a top 10, although Scorsese isn’t one of my favourites. There is  3 films of his I do really love and 2 of them are from within the last 10 years (not The Irishman) so will be cool to see how they do.

If people have time, I recommend checking out The Hustler (amazing film) before seeing The Color of Money. CoM is standalone but having that first film does enhance that one.

Edit: Oh submissions ended already nvm...I still recommend it though!

I rewatched COM recently after listening to the podcast "The Rewatchables" on the Ringer. Still a great movie. Paul Newman is such a star and MEM almost self combusts she is so hot in this movie.

Just as a bit of a heads up for people, I'm not entirely sure I'll be able to start the countdown today. Work has been an absolute pain this week, so I haven't been able to get as much progress on my write-ups than I intended to, I'm hoping to catch C'mon C'mon later today, and tracking for Spider-Man just takes up an obscene amount of time. I'll see if I can get something out today, but I might have to push things tomorrow.
